Welcome to Tumbleweed-Camping-Shooting.com. My name is Howard Hildebrandt and I have built this site with the hope that people who visit Western Colorado will have somewhere to look for information about the outdoor activities and towns of this great area.

I have spent many years enjoying Western Colorado through four-wheeling, on and off road motorcycling, hunting, hiking and camping.

My many hobbies include all the above along with skiing, snowboarding, boating and fishing. After moving here a short thirty years ago from New York I still am fascinated with the scenery and the many things that there are to do here.

All of the outdoors topics that I have written about were learned from my own experiences and others that live, work and play here. I know not everyone will agree with some of my writings but that is what makes life interesting.
